The Challenge
10-15% of all children around the world are dyslexic. This is equally distributed across all geographies, languages, social economic backgrounds and gender.
Dyslexic children have exceptional intelligence and yet are often locked out of education and suffer greatly from shame and anxiety for not being able to keep up with their peer group in reading.
Less than one-third of the children reading below age, ability or grade level receive services. Dyslexic children drop out of school at more than three times the rate of non-dyslexic children and over half the prison population is dyslexic!
