My son Olle participated in the RAVE-O program at Tucker during the 2015/16 school year. Olle has had an IEP for reading since 1st grade. I believe this program has tremendously helped Olle’s progress this year. We have seen his reading level improve more this year then in any other year previous. Achieving Your Potential helped students who were struggling to read learn to love reading. Through the fun characters and tips they were able to become stronger readers. I was able to watch them become more confident in their reading. The program kept them engaged and interested.

The RAVE-O curriculum has been a fun and organized way to help students with fluency and decoding. The focus on MIMS (many interesting meanings) and MICS (many interesting connections), along with other RAVE-O language and tips, made it easier for students to remember key concepts. I see them use the strategies taught in the program to tackle new words and to comprehend the stories that we read.
